Take a Stand in Preparation

chalk mlk revised As the celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day approaches, I thought I would look through some of my favorite resources to see what I could find to help students learn about this great man and his beliefs.

Hi Melissa,

I came across this nice flipchart called "Martin Luther King Jr. - Logo for Equality" on Promethean Planet that can help Elementary 3-5 students learn more about the Civil Rights Movement and how Martin Luther King Jr.'s influence helped to shape the time. Plus there is a neat reinforcing activity for students to develop and create their own Logo for Equality.
