Ready to move beyond PowerPoint projects? Have students summarize what they've learned by creating a trading card, motivational poster or jigsaw puzzle. Mark Samberg and Abbey Askew shared a site titled Big Huge Labs (http://www.bighugelabs.com/flickr/) during their NCTIES presentation. The site subtitle explaines these are Flickr Toys offering a variety of tools to something "cool" with your photos.One feature allows students to summarize what they've learned using the Trading Card Maker (http://www.bighugelabs.com/flickr/deck.php). Begin by uploading a photo. Then add a title, subtitle and description. Clicking the Create button finalizes the card saving the image as a jpeg file.
